Nobody likes to fall ill around the holidays, stay prepared and avoid getting sick with these tips for supporting your immune system against seasonal germs!

  1. Wash your hands!
  • I constantly wash my hands throughout the day and you should too, this is the best way to keep germs away! Of course it's important to wash our hands after we use the bathroom. You should also wash your hands after sneezing and before you eat or touch your eyes, nose and mouth. If you can't wash with soap and water, use a hand sanitizer or disposable wipes.

Going Back To School

It's that time of the year, back to school time! This August though, my children aren't the only ones returning to school, that's right - this mom is too! I've been playing with the thought in my mind for sometime now and I finally just took the plunge and decided it was now or never!

As a single, working parent, there aren't many hours available for free time, it will take some work (and lots of planning) to adjust to my new school, work and parent/life schedule but I know I can do it!

After viewing what degrees my local college offered, I chose Associate of Arts in Teaching for grades 4-8 and Early Childhood through grade 12 Special Education. This degree plan will take two years to complete and then I will transfer to a university to obtain my Bachelors degree.
