Love Ya Later, Bye

This year has been one of those years where I just fell in love with reading, if you've read previous blog posts - I've never been a huge book worm until I started college. I typically have 2-3 books in my Amazon cart at any point in time and my mini library at home is slowly growing and I couldn't be happier!

I have found a love for reading, I love being able to connect to the author and the characters in the story. There is something about being able to relate to someone that just pulls me in closer, even though I will probably never meet majority of the authors I have read books from - I still feel connected in a way.

I wish..

I wish I could tell you so many things..

Like how much your life is going to change over the next few years..

Like how much it breaks my heart that you have to go to school all year..

Like how sad it makes me when you are frustrated and I can't help..

How much it saddens me that you are not my baby anymore - you are a young man...

I wish I could tell you that things will get easier..

Goals and Dreams

Hey y'all!
How's your summer going? Ours has been crazy busy but that is nothing new around these parts. This is the first summer I have taken classes (and hopefully the last!) and trying to juggle life, the kids, and of course their extra curricular activities - all while trying to keep my sanity and stay cool in the Texas heat!

So I blame college, but this season of my life I have read more books than I probably have in my entire life. Yes, I'm ashamed, I have never been a big reader, but my love of books has really developed and I hope it's here to stay.

With that being said, Have you read Girl, wash your face yet?

I'm a little late to jump on the band wagon, but oh my gosh, this book is seriously so good. So good, I couldn't even put it down!

One of my favorite quotes that has stuck with me through this entire book is "Your dream is worth fighting for, and while you're not in control of what life throws at you, you are in control of the fight." - Rachel Hollis

Peace of Mind with Ivory

Disclosure: This post is sponsored by Ivory, all opinions are 100% my own! Thank you for supporting The Story of Three!

Bath time is probably one of my children's favorite times of the day! After a long day of school and extra curricular activities - there is nothing better than relaxing and enjoying a warm bubbly bath! My children love blowing bubbles in the bath tub, playing with alphabet letters on the walls or simply showing me how "grown-up" they are by being able to wash their hair and bodies all on their own.

Women's health is an important issue for females everywhere, but sometimes our health gets put on the back burner for a variety of reasons. Let's face it, life gets busy - we get overloaded with work, maybe stress, or just struggling with keeping up with our family’s busy schedules. As mothers, it's only natural that we put others first, that's what makes us wonderful caregivers and nurturers.

There are many ways we can take care of ourselves, our bodies are always changing, especially as we get older. From eating healthy and exercising regularly, to heart health and even family planning, it's imperative to take care of your body - after all it's the only one you have.
