We bought my daughter a Little Tikes kitchen set for her first birthday and it's been one of the best toy purchases we've made for her! She has really played with it a lot! The only drawback to buying her the kitchen set when she was just a year old was that she was still too short to reach everything. Here she is on her first birthday with the kitchen set:

That's why I was really excited to find out that Little Tikes has realized that this is an issue with younger children, so they've made a kitchen set specifically meant to grow with your child! It's brand new to their lineup and it's called the Cook 'n Grow Kitchen.  You buy 1 kitchen set, but you get TWO looks/height levels! Have a look:

Here are the details straight from Little Tikes:

You will have an inspiring little chef with this realistic kid's kitchen that grows with your child. When this Little Tikes kitchen is opened it is the perfect height for toddlers. When the kitchen is compacted it is now the perfect size for your preschooler to cook your dinner. There are 50+ accessories included! Browse our full Play Kitchen collection for more fun toys.

• Kitchen has 2 age grade configurations
      1) Kitchen is expanded and the height is just right for toddlers
      2) Compacting the kitchen makes it just right for preschoolers
• Electronic cooking sounds
• Hooks for hanging cups
• Molded in slots to hold plates
• Oven, refrigerator and microwave doors all open and close
• Shape-sorting lid for pot helps develop fine motor skills
• 50+ accessories included
• Requires 2 "AA" batteries (not included)

Now, as I said, we already own a Little Tikes kitchen set (and my daughter, who is now 2 1/2 years old, is plenty tall enough to fully enjoy it) but my mother in law has been talking about getting a kitchen set for her house for months. We spend a lot of time at my inlaws house (we are there at least once a week!) so when I was contacted about reviewing this kitchen set, I decided we would set it up at Grandma's house.

My father in law was given the task of setting this kitchen set up and he had it ready to go in under 10 minutes, much to Maggie's delight! She couldn't WAIT to start playing!

Maggie is tall enough that we set it up in the compact position. I wanted to know how hard it was to change from one position to the other, and was SO surprised when it literally takes less than a minute to do so.  My son is only 5 1/2 months old right now, so he's still too young to play with the kitchen set, but it's nice to know that in a few months when he does want to play with it, we can put it at his level quickly and easily!

This kitchen set comes with a LOT of accessories that Maggie loved playing with! Her favorites are the pieces of pizza and the cupcake set. I love the pot that comes with a shape-sorting lid, to help with her fine motor skills.  There's also a telephone, plates, cups, frying pan, mugs, hot dog, hamburger and more!

Maggie has loved having this kitchen set to play with at Grandma's house! She loves pretending to cook while we do the same. I'm sure with the holidays coming, we will be doing a LOT of baking at Grandma's house and I know Maggie will enjoy doing the same using her very own kitchen set.

This kitchen set retails for $109.99 and right now you can get it with FREE shipping from the Little Tikes website. Free shipping ends on November 5th at 11:59PST, so hurry! Considering how LONG your children will be able to use this kitchen set, I think that's a great price!
