I love to cook & bake and I love to watch cooking shows, especially competitive cooking shows. A few weekends ago my brother in law was visiting and he asked if I had ever watched Masterchef, I hadn't and as he began to explain it I became very intrigued. SO I found the show on hulu and began to watch the latest season. I loved it! Everytime I went to nurse the baby I pulled out the iPad and began watching so I was through the whole season in about a weeks time.

So when I was then asked to review the new Masterchef Cookbook I was thrilled to give it a try! When I received the cookbook I browsed through it and was excited to try out several of the recipes that I had seen on the show, and some from previous seasons!

My kiddos LOVE pancakes so the first recipe I tried out were the Lemon Pancakes. I am honestly not a huge fan of lemon things but I loved these pancakes! They were so fluffy and with the berries on top the lemon flavor was really good! My boys loved them too! My oldest ate 2 and wanted more. This recipe said it would make 8 and that is exactly how many pancakes I got out of this recipe. (I find that doesn't happen often, so I was happy about this)

I also wanted to give this cookbook a try for dinner. So one evening I made the Buttermilk Fried Chicken and the Cauliflower Mac N Cheese. Our family loved both of these recipes , and the best part was they were super easy! The cauliflower recipe was crazy easy, and this is a vegetable that we don't eat a lot of but I think we will be using this recipe a lot in the future! And the chicken was great as well, I had to bake mine in the oven a little bit, but I had my oil too hot when I went to fry it so the skin fried up a little too fast. ;-)

I have also tried out one of the pasta dishes. I didn't make my own pasta, but I made the sauce and it was delicious! I don't have pictures of this one because it was a rushed recipe when Sandy was coming through and we thought we might loose power.

I am really enjoying this cookbook and I think it will make a great gift for anyone who loves to cook or bake ....or maybe even for that person you know who can't get enough of cooking shows ;-) You can purchase this on Amazon and one of you will win a copy.  This giveaway will stay open until Thursday Nov. 15th. Good luck!

I need a new cookbook to try out, and this one sounds great. Cauliflower Mac N Cheese would be a hit in our house. Thanks for the review and good photos!
