Fourth of July Recipes


So it's that time of year again & if your like me you have plans to cook out, watch fireworks & just relax with family & friends this Fourth of July. Thankfully the weather looks like it will be a great day to be out doors & I can't wait to enjoy some mouth watering food, catch up with everybody & watch my children play with all of their cousins & friends!

If your looking for some easy, family-friendly recipes to share at your cook out then I have a few that you are going to love! 


Fruit Pizza-
I have made fruit pizza a dozen times, it's a kids favorite & so easy to throw together!
Sugar Cookie Dough (Roll out flat)
Bake cookie dough as directed, let cool.
Use an entire package of cream cheese & spread over the entire baked cookie.
Use fresh blueberries, strawberries & bananas & decorate cookie as desired. I did use canned pineapple chunks instead of fresh pineapple. 


 Vanilla Double Layer Cake-
Make a vanilla cake using box ingredients of from scratch (however you prefer)
Create double layers, let cool, then ice & decorate with fondant.
This was my first time (a year ago) working with fondant, it's tougher then it looks! Lol. I used cookie cutters for stars, this was yummy but did the fondant took the longest.


I came across these muffins on pinterest & I love how colorful they are! I haven't tried them yet, but I would just toss some fresh fruit into a basic muffin mix & bake!


Ok, this salad was calling my name! This is one of the items I am taking to our family cookout! It has ingredients like seashell pasta, tomatoes & bacon! It's so colorful & looks delicious, can't wait to try it!



Can you tell I love fruit? These pieces would be perfect for little handles to grab & go! Fresh blueberries & just use a cookie cutter for the watermelon! (We have an entire drawer full & you can find cookie cutters almost anywhere)
