KidCo Convertible Crib Mesh Bed Rail Giveaway

Today is day 5 in my GoodBye Baby, Hello Toddler event!
Today we have a review and giveaway of KidCo's Convertible Crib Mesh Bed Rail!

When growing out of being a baby, one of the biggest changes and new milestones is going from a crib to a toddler bed. Our son's crib actually converts to a toddler daybed, but has no rail with it. After searching for a  convertible crib bed rail, I quickly found that KidCo has one. Since we are already big KidCo fans, I got in contact with KidCo to include them in our toddler event, and since they agreed, we had the opportunity to review their convertible crib mesh bed rail (BR102)!

KidCo's Bed Rails (adapted from their website):
As the leader in safety for children during their waking hours, KidCo also brings safety expertise to the time when children sleep. Designed for safety, built with convenience in mind, KidCo bed rails encompass the two main sleeping categories for toddlers and young children; toddler beds (from convertible cribs) and adult beds.
We were so excited to convert our son's crib to a toddler daybed, because he figured out to climb out of his crib, and was doing it for a week up until we converted it. It can be really scary when your toddler climbs out of his crib, because they can fall and really hurt themselves. Besides, the way my son was climbing out, he was putting a lot of pressure on his belly and struggled while getting out-- not okay!!

Once we converted his crib to a toddler day bed, my son was super happy! You can tell he was very excited and probably even felt like a 'big boy'!

Below is a picture of the 'before & after'.  As you can see, I feel much better with the bed rail attached to his day bed because it prevents my son from rolling out onto the floor. The bed rail itself is about 13-14 inches high, depending on the height level you choose--the perfect height I think!

Let's talk about how easy it was to put on the bed rail! Literally took me 3 minutes!! I simply took off the mattress, put the metal white circle (in back of crib/day bed) behind the two middle crib bars, then adjusted the white straps to make sure everything was tight and secure. I made sure the bed rail was where I wanted it, in the middle, and then put the mattress back on! Yeah...it's really that easy and quick!

So you're probably wondering does the bed rail move at all? I'm happy to report that the bed rail is fully in place, and does not shift or move at all! In fact, at first my son didn't quite understand he could get in and out of his day bed on the ends, and was climbing over top of the bed rail. It never once moved (he did this only a handful of times before he caught on about entering/exiting on the ends.

Look how happy he is! He absolutely loves his converted day bed, and I feel good knowing he is safe from falling out of his bed at night!

Overall, we definitely recommend the KidCo Convertible Crib Mesh bed rail! The bed rail is sturdy and made of steel and mesh, and really is made of great quality. Also, installation was quick and easy- with no tools required mind you.

I really could have used one of these last night. We put our toddler in his convertible crib--now toddler bed last night for the first time. I could also use a few Bi-Fold Door Locks (S354).
