Random House Children's Books Review

We enjoy reading in our home & my children get so excited when new books arrive, especially from Random House Children's Books! I love stories that are centered around love & family, reading is the perfect time to get the family together & I couldn't wait to share A Gift For Mama & Mama's Day with Little Gray with my children!

Mama's Day with Little Gray is written by Aimee Reed & illustrated by Laura J. Bryant & is a delightful picture book for little or beginning readers. This heartwarming story is about a young elephant's love for his mama, Little Gray wonders what it would be like if he was the big elephant & Mama was the small one? This book is filled with fun & colorful pages & is truly a sweet book about love!

Geared for children ages 4-8, A Gift For Mama by Linda Ravin Lodding & illustrated by Alison Jay is the perfect book about the power of sharing! It's an enchanting story of Oskar's search through the bustling streets of Vienna in search of the perfect gift for his mother.

With only a single coin, Oskar sets out to find a present for his mother, Oskar meets new people & acquires new & different gifts along the way & towards the end of the day, gives his final present to a sad little girl. However, in return, she has a surprise for him & Oskar will deliver the perfect gift to his mother after all!

Our daughter is a book-a-holic! She reads a novel every day or two. I've never seen anyone else like it and I believe it all started with us reading to her from day 1. Keep doing what you are doing. If a child can read, there is never an excuse to be bored. :)

I have been reading since age 4 and my Dad read to me every single night. I'm now 26 and I still LOVE to read!
