Exposed Skincare Review

(Disclosure: I was sent the products featured below for the purpose of this review. No other compensation was received.)

I've struggled with acne for as long as I can remember, I thought for sure in high school that I would never see it again once I entered my adult years and boy was I wrong! I'm almost 30 years old and still struggle daily with adult acne. I have always had an oily/combination skin, my face is very sensitive too, I could touch it in one area and the next day there will be a new acne spot.

I was recently introduced to Exposed Skincare and I was pretty excited to give it a try! I'm not going to lie, I've tried many different products over the years, from skincare to make-up, I just want my acne to go away.

Exposed Skincare was founded in 2002 and guarantees to clear your acne-prone skin within 30 days. They combine advanced acne fighting medicine with pure natural extracts to heal your skin naturally and gently. From cleansing to renewing, they have an entire line of products to give you clear, healthy and balanced skin. All while unclogging pores, killing acne causing bacteria, regulating oil and calming redness.

Exposed Skincare so kindly sent me the following products to try:

  • Facial Cleanser
  • Clearing Tonic
  • Microderm Scrub
  • Clear Pore Serum
  • Moisture Complex
  • Acne Treatment Serum

When trying new skincare products, especially acne ones, it's important to be patient, I knew my acne wasn't going to clear up over night. In fact in my case, I had a feeling it would get worse before it got better. When I opened up my package I checked out all of my products and then opened up the quick start guide.

The quick start guide takes you step by step on what to do with each product - how to use it, how much you should be using, when to use it, etc. It's important to remember that it doesn't take much product, a little goes a long way. Another important key is to be gentle, don't scrub your face like crazy, you don't want to irritate your skin.

On the first day, my morning routine consisted of the Facial Cleanser, Clearing Tonic and Acne Treatment Serum. I wet my face and then used a small amount of Facial Cleanser and gently massage it into my skin (avoiding eyes), and then thoroughly rinsed. I dried my face off and gently spread a small amount of Clearing Tonic on. While my face was still wet, I applied a small amount of Acne Treatment Serum over any area that is blemish prone. Then I just let my face dry, I do wear a light powder foundation so I put that on after and I was ready to go!

On my first day I noticed right away how smooth my face was, it also felt really clean. That evening I followed the evening routine in the quick start guide. It's pretty similar to my morning routine except that I use the Clear Pore Serum in place of the Acne Treatment Serum. The Moisture Complex is also a nice optional touch that can be used in the morning or evening.

The Microderm Scrub is great to polish away dead skin cells while healing and protecting skin and reduces inflammation. This isn't part of the daily treatment system but can be used once or twice a week instead.

I've been using Exposed Skincare for about 6 days now and have noticed a significant difference in my face already. It's not super oily, I'm not waking up with new acne spots and the acne that was there is starting to clear up and disappear. I really like the products themselves too, they are not hard to use, gentle on my skin and I'm excited to continue to use them on a daily basis!

So what do you think? Do you struggle with acne?

This sounds like a great line! I will definitely go look at their website because skincare is one of my favorite things to invest in and try. Thanks for this review! Stacie xo
