Spring Time Fun

Hello spring! I don't think we had much of a winter at all, but I'm so glad to see spring, I hope it sticks around for a while before the summer heat hits and we all start melting! I can't even believe it's April already, we've been so busy!

My Big Guy had his first baseball game of the season on Easter weekend so it was a crazy, jam-packed weekend! I was able to snap a few pictures of him, and I think he did pretty good overall! We attended church Easter morning and then caught up with family and friends for a bbq later that evening, I always go home so stuffed - the food is just amazing at my Papa's house!

April 2nd was World Autism Awareness Day, it's been almost eight years since Big Brother C was diagnosed and what a roller coaster it has been! I couldn't imagine my life out with my big guy, I love him with all of my heart, he's my high-fiving, always smiling kid!

This week is my son's last therapy session with PT, he's being discharged which is sad and amazing at the same time. He's worked so hard and has reached his goals, his therapist has been fabulous and she will be missed dearly! I'm not sure what I'll even do with the extra free time during the week, Big Brother C will continue to receive OT and ST twice a week though.

My daughter is doing great at school, she's getting ready for her kindergarten days and has been working hard on her reading and writing skills. She informed me the other day that she is getting too big for her scooter and would like a big girl bike. I almost cried but she's right, it seems like she's growing up so fast though!

If you follow me on Instagram, you've probably seen my gym or FitBit posts, I got a membership at Planet Fitness about a month ago and have been going several days a week. I've been trying hard to get back in shape, and eating better too. I'm cutting back on the carbs and junk, and I've been consuming more salads, proteins and healthier options.

The flowers are blooming, the sun is shining, the weather is gorgeous, it's warmed up a lot (like in the 80's this week), so I've been spring/summer clothes shopping for the kids. We aren't going on a cruise this spring but decided to book a vacation down to Galveston this summer, so I'm looking forward to putting my toes in the sand soon! We are officially only two months away from school being out for the summer, so it will be here before I know it!

How's spring going for you? Anything exciting you'd like to share?
