As a single parent of two, and a special needs mom, planning ahead and keeping a routine is a must. It's what keeps me sane, seriously! We used to struggle big time in the mornings and one day I decided that we needed to have easier and better mornings, if we had better mornings we would have great days and that excited everyone! I don't drink coffee and I don't set four alarms to get me out of bed in the morning either, with a little bit of planning and preparation, I figured out the best ways to jumpstart my day and have successful mornings every morning!

Plan your day out the night before. Take 30 minutes or an hour out of your evening after the kids are in bed and plan the next day. Work on your work schedule, set out clothes (including yours), pack lunches, charge electronics, etc.

Get a good nights sleep. As parents, I don't think we realize how much sleep we are really lacking until we are just physically exhausted. I'm not saying you have to go to bed when your kids do, but at a decent hour, aim for 7-8 hours of sleep. I always get up in the morning a few minutes before my kids do, it helps give me a head start on the day and some quiet time for myself.

Start the day refreshed. Whether you are dragging out of bed, or hitting the ground running, it's a great idea to start the day refreshed. If you don't have time for a quick morning shower, wash your face really well. This will help you wake up and get you in the mood to get going!

Establish a mourning routine. I'm huge on the routine thing, it's been a life saver for my little family. Mornings can be hectic and it seems like there is so much to get done before we are all rushing out the door to school. So I established a morning routine, it can be as simple as you want or need it to be, but trust me, it will make things run a lot smoother for everyone in your house.

Always have Advil on hand. I'm pretty active, between my children and work, I'm on my feet 24/7 and I don't have time to slow down. Well, I started working out at the gym about a month ago, and my body started feeling all kinds of aches and joint pain. The more I worked out - the better I felt, but some days my knee would kill me and I didn't have time to be slowing down. Morning time is when I feel the most pain with my bad knee, so I keep Advil on hand and it helps keep me going and gets me through the days!

The other afternoon while I was out picking up snacks for my children at our local Walmart, my knee started to throb which reminded me that I needed to pick up a bottle of Advil. Did you know that May is National Arthritis Month? Arthritis affects 53 million Americans, that is a shocking number! I personally have family and friends who also struggle on a day to day basis with Arthritis pain. Nothing's proven stronger on Arthritis and other joint pain* than Advil. The new EZ open cap is perfect for people struggling with Arthritis, there is no struggle or pain to get to the Advil you need. The medicine in Advil is the one doctors recommend most for joint pain.** (*For minor arthritis pain, among OTC pain relievers. **Based on a survey of monthly doctor recommendations.)

Going to the gym is something I've incorporated in my daily lifestyle, I'm trying to be the most active, healthiest mom that I can be for my kids. With that comes joint pain, I'm closing in on my 30th birthday and the last few years I've really "felt" older than I really am. I used to run, play soccer and be super active in my school days, and to say that I've been missing that is an understatement. I love that I can come home from work and play with my kids, or walk with them while they ride their scooters. So with the help of Advil, I'm looking forward to hanging out with them at the pool and the waterparks this summer, they need their mom and no joint pain is going to hold me back and keep me from having fun with my children!

How do you jumpstart your day? Do you struggle with Arthritis joint pain?
