On Being A Single Mom

You are good enough. You are good enough. Words I say out loud to myself as I sit in the school parking lot. It was a rough morning and I knew it was going to be a long day, I could just feel it. I'm being pulled in a million different directions, my mind is in overload, I'm overwhelmed, exhausted - just feeling all the emotions.
Some days I feel like that, some nights I cry myself to sleep, and other mornings I wake up and feel like I can take on the world. My days are long and my nights are short, I don't have much free time and our schedules are super tight with work, school, therapy and extra curricular activities. I carry a lot of weight on my shoulders, being a single parent isn't an easy job but so many like myself, do it on a daily basis.

Puzzingo Puzzles App Review

(Disclosure: I received compensation for this post, however all opinions are 100% my own. Thank you so much for supporting my blog!)

As a parent it's important that I monitor my children's screen time and what they are watching and playing. I carefully research each and every app before I download it, my children know they aren't allowed to download anything with out my permission. It has to be mom approved, I love apps that are educational, fun and entertaining but also that are age appropriate.

I was recently introduced to Puzzingo Puzzles, it's an exciting app that is full of puzzles and games and I knew it would be perfect for my children! Puzzingo contains over 100 learning puzzles and popular children's themes like fairies, cars, and pets! It also features puzzles that include core concepts such as shapes, colors, numbers, the ABC's and so much more! Within the app are over 60 mini-games that complement the "fantasies of play" for many of the puzzles.

Be Your Child's Advocate

Advocating for your special needs child is one of the best things you can do for them. When Big Brother C was first diagnosed I had no idea what Autism was and what our future would be like. I was clueless, scared, and afraid. However, as time when on, I quickly realized I was his voice, his CEO and that meant helping him and soon enough helping others as well.

After my daughter was born, she quickly fell in love with her big brother, she adored him, modeled him, and loved him like any sibling would. Now, just at six years old, loves her brother more and more every single day. She continues to help him, cares for him, shares with him and she knows he's different in some ways but she doesn't really know what Autism is. She is so proud of her big brother and is always happy to show him off. Little Sister C walks with him to his class every morning, gives him high fives through out the day and when we go out, lets everyone know he doesn't talk but that she will happily speak for him. She makes me so proud, I couldn't of asked for a better sister for him.

Stocking Up For Cold & Flu Season

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #Healthy4School #CollectiveBias

Fall is here, it's finally arrived! I still can't believe it's November but I'm so excited about the cooler weather, I wish it would stick around longer here in Texas! With fall arriving that means cold and flu season is on it's way unfortunately, the stomach flu is already circulating the schools - yuck! As a mom, I don't want to see my children sick or missing school and since I'm a single parent, I can't afford to get sick either. This season, I am prepared and stocked up for whatever may come our way thanks to Robitussin®
